TRAINING
Central Valley Biblical Counseling has developed a comprehensive, three-phase training program based on the certification process of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).
Phase 1: 30-hour fundamentals course, 10 hours of counseling observation, and 1,000 pages of reading.
Phase 2: Take-home exams and evaluations.
Phase 3: 50 hours of supervised counseling.

ACBC Phase 1: Learning
Fundamentals Training

Phase 1 Cohort (Reading, Observations, Discussion)
Our next Phase 1 Cohort will meet on the second Monday of every month, 6:30–8:30 pm, beginning on May 11. This group will read through the required ACBC phase 1 reading, discuss counseling issues, and observe recorded counseling sessions in order to complete most of ACBC’s Phase 1 requirements within 6 months. Monthly Exam Class (Tutoring, Grading, and Review)
Our exam class meets on the second Monday of every month, year-round, 6:30–8:30 pm. You can join anytime and complete the ACBC Exams in one year!
ACBC Phase 2: Exams and Evaluations
Connections with ACBC Fellows, Coaching, and Case Report Assistance
We can help you develop a relationship with an ACBC Fellow, offer coaching for difficult counseling situations, and assist with the phase 3 case report process.
ACBC Phase 3: Supervision
Advanced Classes, Coaching, and Resourcing
We offer our annual conference, advanced training classes, ongoing counseling coaching, and an extensive library of recommended counseling resources.
